A web searh engine is designed to search for information in a world wide web, you must have been know this. Anyway, this post will not dig it deeper about what search engine is, but how to make your blog a search engine friendly blog.
There're a lot of search engines, but the top three of them are Google, Yahoo and MSN. If your blog well indexed on them, it means you have a popular blog. Unfortunately, its not an easy thing to make your blog gets a high rank on them, especially for a new blogs. What does the search engine see to determine the rank of the blog or site ?
Page content
Make a unique page content. The more unique your content, the faster Google indexing your page. To make your page unique, create your own article for post, do not copy paste. Your page won't indexed fast, or maybe not at all if you copy and paste your post from other sites.
The age of the blog
The older the better. Not always, but Google usualy places the new blogs under the old ones.
Keyword
This is very important. I've talked about this on my preavious posts. Your keyword will listed your blog in the proper category. Use keyword in your page title, post title and several times in your article. But becareful, to many keywords then Google will see it as a spam. The ideal number is 6-7 times/100 words, which means the keyword density is 6-7%.
Content quantity or volume
Another thing that search engines see is the volume of your site. More pages are better. Thats why you need to regularly and continualy update your blog. The more pages on your blog, the more contents you give to the search engine, the more traffic it brings to you, the more clicks on your ads, the more you get the money.
Pagerank
Pagerank is commonly associated with backlinks. Actually, a thousand backlinks to your site will not make high pagerank, if the backlinks is not relevan to your site. Moreover, Google will decrease your rank if you had to many unrelevan backlinks. So, be careful when you try to increase your link through link exchange or link trade programs.
You will get high pagerank if you exchange link with a relevan and other high pagerank sites. But the problem is, the high pagerank sites only do link exchange with other high class sites. They will not do the link exchange if there's no advantage for them.
So in my closing paragraph, I give you an easy way to create your own link. First, create an article then post it in your blog. Then submit that similar article to GoArticles.com or other ezine sites, with a slight of modification of course. Do not change the keywords, replace other words besides your keyword with different word with similar meaning, for example associated with related. So now you have two article with same keyword and title but with different words used, one for your blog post and another one for submission to the ezine site. Then create hyperlink from one of the keyword of your article that you submitted and link it into your blog. Now you have created one backlink for your site. Do the same everytime you post articles.
